Terms of Service
Effective: August 5, 2026 (beta draft)
1. The service
Chateoux ingests household documents you provide and maintains a family calendar of record with source citations and confidence scores. During beta the service is provided free to invited households, as-is, and features may change.
2. Your responsibilities
You must be 18+, hold the account as a parent/guardian, and only submit documents you have the right to share. Chateoux is an assistive layer: confirm anything safety-critical through the review flow, and keep primary sources (the school, the league) authoritative when they conflict.
3. What we don’t promise (beta)
Extraction is confidence-gated, and uncertain items are held for your review by design — but during beta we do not warrant uninterrupted service or perfect extraction. Liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (during the comped beta: $0), to the extent permitted by law.
4. Your data
Your household’s data is yours. Export it or delete it at any time. Our handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
5. Ending things
You can close your household at any time, which deletes it. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. On any material change to these terms we’ll email the account holder first.
